King Triton

King Triton balances calmer mid blue with royal lift
About King Triton
On my monitor, King Triton reads like a deep ocean blue that still feels clean, not washed out. It's darker and more saturated than Fisher King, so it doesn't soften into a "support" tone. And compared to Forget-Me-Not, it has more authority without turning icy like the brighter interface blues.
I reach for this shade when the UI needs a confident primary, not a timid accent. It works well for dashboards and finance apps where you want selected states, active tabs, and chart series to hold their ground against white and light grays. In mapping and logistics screens, it also makes route lines and status tags feel deliberate instead of friendly. the one I reach for when the hierarchy needs weight, but the temperature stays cool and steady.
Quick pairing note: keep it next to crisp neutrals or cool slate grays. If you drop it beside warmer blues, it can look slightly more formal than you planned, and the blue-to-blue contrast gets a bit flat.
