Turquoise Tortoise
#457b74
Saturated blue-green teal, darker than Pearl Green
About Turquoise Tortoise
On my screen, Turquoise Tortoise reads like a teal that's been calmed down at the same time as it's kept its structure. It's not as green-leaning as Pearl Green, and it doesn't go as warm and present as Green Sleeves. Compared to Ivy, it has a softer, slightly lower-contrast feel, so it won't feel as crisp in small UI text.
The sweet spot for this shade is midweight UI accents: alert tags, hover states, and secondary buttons where you want "teal, but controlled." I reach for it in mapping and logistics dashboards, HR and compliance workflows, and internal admin screens that sit over light layouts all day. It's also a good choice for product surfaces like settings panels, because it keeps the interface feeling grounded rather than icy.
Pair it with off-whites or cool grays; if you put it next to very bright blues, it can start to look a touch dull, so tighten the contrast with typography or borders.
