About Fernweh
Fernweh reads like a sunlit field edge seen through a thin veil. It's not the muddy commitment of Capers, and it doesn't carry Bronze's obvious heat. Instead, it lands in a steadier middle: a green-brown that feels grounded, but lighter and more open than the darker neighbors.
I use Fernweh when the layout needs to look intentional without turning into a focal point. It works well for product detail pages in outdoor, home goods, and heritage brands where you want "made in" warmth without drifting into olive-brown. In editorial and long-form systems, it's a dependable background that holds type while staying calmer than Bay Leaf's cooler grayer pull. It's also the one you reach for when brown feels too safe and green feels too assertive.
Quirk to note: compared to Capers, the green shows up more consistently across sizes, but it still picks up warmth from surrounding creams and warm grays.
