Pelican

Warm, creamy gray for softer, less dusty UI
About Pelican
Pelican (a pale gray with a slightly dusty, creamy undertone) looks like the color of weathered stone that's been left out of direct sun. It stays soft without drifting fully beige, so it feels gentler than Ash's more decisive cool and less grounded than Stone Fortress.
I use it as a calm panel wash for dashboards and finance apps when the UI needs neutrality that doesn't tip icy. It's also a good fit for SaaS settings pages, e-commerce filters, and HR or ops tools where you're stacking lots of form fields and tables but still want the interface to feel light. Compared to Silverplate, Pelican reads a touch warmer and less metallic, so it doesn't give that slightly brushed-steel hush.
Pair it with medium gray typography and restrained borders. If you go too warm on accents, it can take on a muted peach note, but it settles nicely once your contrast is crisp.
