Ruins of Civilization

Weathered pale green, calmer than mints and sage
About Ruins of Civilization
I keep noticing Ruins of Civilization when I'm matching backgrounds for "heritage green" layouts. It has that washed, architectural calm, like moss pressed into stone after years of weathering. Compared with Marsh Fog, it's not just softened haze, it's a more dusty green presence. Compared with Mother Nature, it's less fresh-leaf and less spring-clean, more aged and grounded.
In practice, I use it for editorial hero bands, sustainability and agriculture landing pages, and product marketing that needs green without feeling like a garden filter. It also plays nicely in dashboards for logistics, field ops, and asset tracking, where the UI background has to stay quiet next to charts and dense tables. If Delta Mint can feel a bit too crisp and cool-leaning, this one feels warmer than that mint pause while still clearly green.
Pair it with off-whites, warm grays, and restrained olive accents. Pure bright whites can make it look even more worn at the edges.
