Purple Poodle
#dab4cc
Cooler violet-lilac mauve for crisp, airy accents
About Purple Poodle
Purple Poodle sits between a mauve lip tint and a soft lavender note, and it shows up on my screen as more cool and dusty than the pinks around it. Compared to Blushing Sky, it has steadier pigment instead of that airy, forgiving lift. Versus Soft Cashmere, it turns less rosy and more purple, losing some of the cashmere warmth. And where Blackberry Yoghurt feels muted and in-between, Purple Poodle stays clearer, with a richer, slightly violet undertone that keeps it from sinking into gray.
I reach for it when a UI needs softness without turning into plain blush, especially in beauty and skincare subscription tiles, wellness app settings, and onboarding or confirmation panels that need calm but not flat. It also works well for e-commerce email banners and feature cards where you want the background to read intentional next to cream typography.
Quick pairing note: it behaves nicely with warm creams, but if you're using icy grays, it can look a touch more purple than you planned.
