About Salt-N-Pepa
On a gray UI mock, Salt-N-Pepa reads like a calm canvas that's a touch lighter and a bit less "worked on" than the cooler, faint-mauve neutral Chrome. It's still family-gray, but it avoids Chrome's minimal, strictly neutral attitude. Compared with Peekaboo, the warmth is dialed down, so it doesn't feel softened or pinky at the edges.
This is the shade I use when I want the one you reach for in gray-first layouts, with a slightly smoky, salt-air undertone instead of peach or lilac. Great for dashboards and finance apps, admin panels, and operations screens where there's lots of data and the background has to stay quiet, but not cold. Pair it with charcoal text and mid-tone accents, and it won't fight photos or dense tables.
One quirk: next to Antarctic Love, Salt-N-Pepa looks more restrained. If you see the layout starting to feel too "friendly," switch back to this for a steadier temperature.
