Lava Pit
#e46f34
Smoky burnt orange for heat-forward data blocks
About Lava Pit
I see Lava Pit as the orange you get after the flare backs off. It's not as bright as Flaming Orange, and it doesn't carry the friendly lift of Basketball. This one feels darker and more ember-leaning, with a thicker, heat-forward undertone that reads almost burnt at the edges.
In UI terms, it behaves like a confident "hot" accent rather than a safe highlight. I use it for sports apps, media players, and social platforms when you want urgency without going full fire-red, like progress states, alert chips, and bold CTA borders. Compared to Bronzed, it keeps more saturation so it doesn't turn clay-flat, even on warm surfaces.
Pair it with charcoal grays or cool neutrals so it stays legible and doesn't muddy. On large fills it can start to feel heavy, so I keep it the one you reach for when you want contrast with restraint.
