Violet Vapour has that soft, dusty lilac-gray look you see when a purple fabric sits under cool window light and all the punch gets ironed out. Compared to Pebble Beach, it's not smoky or stone-dust bland, it reads more clearly tinted. And unlike Salt-N-Pepa, it carries a faint violet cast instead of a salt-air gray restraint, so it feels slightly more "colored" while still staying quiet.
I use it as a background that stays gentle in product UI where you want calm depth, especially in dashboards and finance apps that need less neutrality than Salt-N-Pepa, and in editorial systems for health platforms or wellness content where pure gray can feel too clinical. Its lightness keeps text comfortable, and the cooler undertone makes the one you reach for when the layout needs softness without sliding into peach-warm territory like Antarctic Love.
