Gin Tonic
#ecebe5
Softer gray-beige neutral with calm contrast
About Gin Tonic
Gin Tonic reads lighter than Blanco but holds more gray than Coconut Milk, which puts it in that awkward middle space where it could go either way, except it doesn't waver. There's enough restraint here that it doesn't feel warm, but enough presence that it won't disappear on you. It's the kind of color that works harder than it looks.
You'll hit this in dashboards, publishing platforms, and medical interfaces where the background needs to stay genuinely quiet but not invisible. Unlike Blanc Cassé, it doesn't sit quite so firmly on the grayer side of the fence. Unlike Coconut Milk, there's no warmth creeping in to soften the read. It's neutral without being cold, which is harder to pull off than it sounds.
The thing to know: pair it with anything that leans warm and it'll shift cooler in your peripheral vision. Keep it with cool blacks and restrained palettes and it just disappears into the work. That's when you know it's right.
