White Warm Wool
#efe6d1
Warm, low-saturation off-white gray for soft backgrounds
About White Warm Wool
I picture White Warm Wool as the off-white you notice on a freshly printed sheet: creamy, but not yellow, and not chalky either. Compared to Homoeopathic Yellow, it feels cleaner and less gray-dusted, so it reads more like a finished surface than a soft wash. And next to Platinum Blonde, it holds its warmth without drifting as far toward cream.
In practice, I use it when the UI needs to look warmer than pure white but still stay neutral enough for dense content. It's my go-to for document viewers, product settings pages, and editorial sidebars where typography should lead while the background quietly supports. It also behaves well in pantry and food-brand packaging when you already have warm photography and don't want the label to look overly tinted.
Quirk: because it's a touch richer than the paler whites in this Gray family, it can make nearby cool grays feel colder. I'll pair it with deeper taupes or warmer charcoals to keep the whole layout grounded.
