Oyster Island
#efefe5
Muted, cool-leaning light gray with oyster beige depth
About Oyster Island
Oyster Island reads like sea-washed paper left out just long enough to lose its glare. Compared to the cleaner, envelope-soft Ivory Wedding, this one is a touch more muted and less yellow-leaning. It also doesn't feel as cool and airy as Cumulus, and it avoids Cannoli Cream's warmer creaminess.
It's the light gray I reach for when you want calm without going flat. In brand sites for lifestyle and hospitality, it makes hero sections feel settled rather than bright. In editorial and SaaS UI, it keeps dense text readable while staying neutral next to darker grays and medium charcoals. It also works well for cards, empty states, and image backplates where you don't want the background to compete.
One quirk: because it's slightly desaturated, very warm accent colors can look a little yellow by comparison. I like pairing it with soft blue-grays or warm taupes for a smoother temperature balance.
