About Black Box
Black Box is what happens when you go darker than Beyond the Stars without losing the blue entirely. It's almost purely dark, the kind of shade that sits so close to black you have to look twice to catch the blue underneath. It doesn't announce itself. Beyond the Stars still reads as deliberate blue; this one reads as absence first, color second.
Use it in security dashboards, dark-mode fintech platforms, and high-contrast admin interfaces where you need maximum depth without going full black. It's leaner and colder than Astral Nomad, stripped down further than Blue Whale. Pairs hard with white type and bright interactive states, it *needs* that contrast to work. Unlike Beyond the Stars, there's less breathing room here; unlike Capital Blue, there's zero warmth softening the approach.
The trade-off: it can disappear entirely on dark grays and charcoals. Test it against your darkest neutrals before you commit. Works best when it's the darkest element in your palette, the one you reach for when you need a color that feels like it could be black.
