Aqua

Aqua sits right in the uncanny valley between cyan and turquoise, brighter than Bath Water but somehow less aggressive than Arctic Water, even though the hex values say otherwise. Put it next to Aggressive Aqua and you'll see the difference: this one has a gentler undertone, the kind of cyan that doesn't feel like it's yelling at you from a server room.

It works well in product interfaces and health platforms where you need the coolness of cyan without the clinical edge. App backgrounds, secondary buttons, accent states in design systems where the primary cyan got too intense. Unlike Arctic Water's raw technical feel or Bath Water's softness, Aqua lands somewhere between, still carrying signal and presence, but with enough restraint that it pairs better with actual UI elements and typography.

The real move here is pairing it with darker text or backgrounds; it's not built to fight for attention the way the sharper cyans are. Let it breathe as a surface or background element, not buried in dense layouts.
