About Looney Blue
Looney Blue looks like cyan's slightly loosened collar. It's still electric, but the undertone tilts just enough toward a clean, bright blue that it doesn't feel like hard-edged light on the screen.
Compared to Cyan, it's less "center-of-the-spectrum" and more like a deliberate accent that stays friendly at a distance. And unlike Arctic Water, which can read almost backlit, this one holds its clarity without the near-overexposure. Next to Aggressive Aqua, the temperature feels less icy and the saturation comes off smoother, not as sharp. I'm using it in dashboards and finance apps as a primary action state, and in real-time product analytics where the UI needs urgency without that warning-like bite. You'll also see it in health and telematics interfaces for status chips, toggles, and focus rings where the signal matters but users can't feel yelled at.
The quirk: it pairs best with neutral dark grays and cool off-whites. If you put it beside warmer panels, it can look a little too "fun" and lose seriousness fast.
