About Waikiki

Waikiki reads like a bright seaside blue that's been gently lit by morning sun. It sits lighter and less forceful than Corfu Waters, so it doesn't feel like it's "landing with intent." And compared with Oasis, it's calmer and more waterlike, with less teal bite. Against Munsell Blue, it loosens its tight, electric edge and keeps a smoother, airy clarity.

I use Waikiki as a primary tint when I want the interface to feel quick but not demanding. It's great for dashboards and finance apps screens where you need a friendly highlight: map accents, metric tiles, selection states, and the background for key info blocks. It also works well in health and SaaS UIs for charts and form headings because it stays readable without leaning into the darker authority of Corfu Waters. Overall, it's the one I reach for when the blue should feel open, not heavy.

Quirk: because it's light and slightly cooler, it can look a little washed next to very saturated teals, so I pair it with deeper blues or charcoals for balance.
