Nautical
#2e4a7d
Moderate cool blue-violet for steady UI sections
About Nautical
On my screen, Nautical reads like a calm storm-churned purple. It's not as bright as Dragonfly's mid-blue lift, and it doesn't go full steel like Assassin. Instead, it lands a touch lighter and smoother, with a deeper purple undertone that feels grounded rather than sharp.
I like it for focus states and selected UI where you still need clarity in the hierarchy. It's a strong fit for fintech and telecom workflows, document management systems, and healthcare portals where accents must feel composed, not icy. This is also the one you reach for when you want a dark primary that's less rigid than Night Mode, but more structured than the brighter blue-purple neighbors.
One quirk: put it next to very warm surfaces and it can start to look slightly muted, so I usually steer it toward cool grays or keep the surrounding tones equally cool.
