Magnet
#525054
Neutral mid-dark gray with balanced cool undertone
About Magnet
On my screen, Magnet reads like a practical "mid-dark" gray that refuses to go either void-black or dusty neutral. It has a slightly cool, steel-gray feel, but it doesn't freeze the way the deeper purples do. Compared to Black Magic, it's cleaner and less purple-soaked; compared to Fedora, it's not as neutral and airy, it feels more grounded and closer to a slate.
I reach for Magnet when I need a secondary surface that still feels intentional: dark interfaces for media players, settings panels in productivity apps, and the side gutters of editorial layouts that have to stay readable through motion and gradients. It's also solid in audio workflows where you want controls to sit back without looking washed out, especially on dark-mode consoles and waveform-heavy views.
Pair it with crisp whites and stronger accents, not thin, mid-gray text. Magnet won't fight your typography, but it rewards clear hierarchy more than "set and forget."
