Clean Slate

Clean Slate feels like the blue you pick when you've already made your color decisions elsewhere. It's muted enough to recede but still reads as an intentional choice, not a fallback. Compared to Beach View, it's noticeably darker and more saturated, it won't fade into the background the same way. Compared to Bay View, it lands higher and warmer, which means it sits somewhere between restraint and presence instead of anchoring hard.

You'll use this in healthcare interfaces, dense dashboards, and data-heavy layouts where you need blue to work without commanding. It pairs naturally with type and lighter UI elements, reads calm against white backgrounds without disappearing, and holds its own against mid-tone grays. It works harder than Beach View but doesn't carry the weight that Blue Triumph or Bay View bring to the table.

The thing to watch: it's saturated enough to matter, which is why it can feel slightly cool without the clinical edge of a true teal. Test it early if you're between something too airy and something too final. This is the one I reach for when the lighter blues start feeling like compromise.
