Royal Robe

On a dark canvas, Royal Robe reads like a dressed-up purple, not a smoke or a bruise. It's richer than the cooler, steadier Drifting Violet, and it doesn't lean earthy or vine-muted like In the Vines. Compared to Neon Violet, it stays smoother and less magenta-forward, so it lands more "tailored accent" than "bright hit."

I use Royal Robe for brand accents in music apps and creator platforms when I want hover borders, section pills, and selected states to feel deliberate without drifting toward mulberry depth. It's also a solid choice for dashboards and finance apps where you need the purple to look confident against cool grays, not heavy. The contrast holds up nicely for inline charts and media player progress highlights, especially when your UI has restrained off-whites.

Quirk: it can feel a bit formal on very pale backgrounds, so I'll usually pair it with either deeper purples for hierarchy or a sharper neutral to keep it from looking flat. This is the one I reach for when the interface needs purple with weight and polish, not jitter and not grit.
