Roastery
#692302
Roasted orange-brown, warmer than Chestnut, less claret than Prune
About Roastery
Roastery looks like freshly lifted roast coffee that's cooled just enough to lose the bite, then thickened with a warm amber-brown glaze. It's not as deep and syrup-dense as Hot Fudge, and it avoids the bruised, brown-red tightness of Prune.
Compared with Chestnut, Roastery keeps more orange in the undertone and a brighter, livelier mid-lightness. I use it when the brown needs to still feel like part of an orange system, not a separate "heritage" color. Think e-commerce and retail product cards, signage for roasteries and craft beverage brands, and UI surfaces like secondary buttons, hover states, and focus rings where you want warmth without drifting into caramel. It also holds up well in motion graphics, because it doesn't flatten like darker, more restrained browns.
Pair it with parchment, oat, or warm gray to keep the orange undertone clean; set it against very deep maroons and it can read a touch lighter than you expect.
