Cheeky Chestnut
#7b4d3a
Medium warm chestnut with cheeky orange lift
About Cheeky Chestnut
Cheeky Chestnut is what happens when chestnut actually commits to being chestnut instead of hedging its bets with orange. It's lighter and warmer than Afternoon Coffee, but it's not trying to announce itself the way Annatto still does. This is the brown that reads as intentionally warm without the negotiation.
Use it for food packaging, editorial callouts, and product detail pages where you need a accent that lands between approachable and grounded. It sits higher in value than Chocolate Explosion, which means it won't get swallowed by busy backgrounds, and it won't flatten against cream or warm grays the way some deeper browns do. Pair it with charcoal or cool neutrals and it actually pops without feeling aggressive.
The thing to watch: next to pure white it'll read slightly more orange than you might expect, so test it in context first. But that's also exactly why it works on light backgrounds where Afternoon Coffee would start to disappear.
