About Riverbed
Riverbed looks like light that's bounced off a river stone right before it hits glass. It's a blue that feels grounded, not airy, and it sits between misty softness and the deeper presence of Cuttlefish.
Compared with Misty Cold Sea, Riverbed has less foggy wash and more body. Versus Cerulean Skies, it's a touch more saturated and more anchored, so it doesn't drift toward gray as easily. I use Riverbed for dashboards and finance apps where you need a calm surface, but the UI still needs to feel built, not floating. Think card backgrounds for logistics and insurance portals, table header rails, settings panels, and form field fills in admin-heavy SaaS and health operations.
Pair it with charcoal or steel text and keep accents slightly crisp, since overly green highlights can nudge it toward an underwater feel.
