Over the Sky
#98d5ea
Airy, slightly deeper sky blue for calmer headers
About Over the Sky
I keep catching Over the Sky in mockups where the blue has that fresh, post-rain clarity, but without drifting into the sharper cyan feeling. It's a light sky blue that reads more airy than truly icy, with a clean, slightly cool undertone that stays readable instead of chalking out.
Compared with Infinity Pool, it's less "water-on-dusk" and more uniformly bright, so it doesn't feel as reflective. Versus Light Blue, it holds its blue identity with less warmth bleed, so it stays distinctly blue, not soft gray. Ariel is even closer to white, but Over the Sky has a bit more saturation presence, so it works harder than it looks in UI chrome. I use it behind card headers, table toolbars, and empty-state panels in dashboards and finance apps, and it also shows up nicely in scheduling and results screens for healthcare platforms where you want calm without disappearing.
Pair it with navy or deep slate for body text. If you go too neutral with the surrounding grays, it can start to look like the design lost contrast on purpose.
