About Permafrost

Put Permafrost on a design mockup and it feels like frost settling on glass: light, airy, and a little hushed. Compared to Alpine Expedition's brighter, neon-leaning cyan, this one doesn't glare. Compared to Freezy Breezy's livelier breath, it lands calmer and more controlled. And against Bath Water's softer, lower-saturation comfort, Permafrost stays distinctly more luminous while still refusing to look harsh.

I reach for it in product UI surfaces where you want "clean" to read as trustworthy rather than icy. Think telehealth and wellness portals, logistics and supply dashboards, and creator tools where hover states and selection rings need to pop without shouting. It's the kind of shade that lets charts and data blocks feel crisp, especially when the rest of the palette is mid-tone.

Pair it with deep navy or cool gray, because it can disappear on near-white backgrounds. Also watch out next to the brighter cyans in your system, since Permafrost will look deliberately more muted by comparison.
