Wasteland

About Wasteland
Wasteland reads like sun-bleached dirt over a pale linen surface. It's a muted green-ochre with a slightly sandy cast, so it doesn't feel leafy like Green family neighbors tend to. Compared to Greek Olive, it's less olive and more dusty, with the undertone pulling toward dry yellow-brown rather than calm earthiness. And unlike In a Pickle, it loses that brined yellow-green bite entirely.
For UI, I use Wasteland as a warm, earth-neutral backdrop that keeps layouts from turning gold or going olive-brassy. It's especially useful in dashboards and finance apps where you need a background that stays steady next to data without making accents look louder. Think fleet and logistics status screens, agtech map shells, and long-form editorial systems where headings need air but not flash.
One quirk: at smaller sizes it can look a touch flat, so pair it with crisper off-whites or slightly cooler grays to keep the hierarchy sharp.
