Exhumed Gold
#a78558
Weathered ochre-gold for deeper, earthier UI warmth
About Exhumed Gold
Exhumed Gold looks like old brass dragged up from a drawer and dusted off, not like a fresh caramel pour. Compared with Iced Coffee, it's warmer and richer, but it still doesn't go as cool or as chalky. It also reads less worn-dry than Gramps Shoehorn, with a smoother glow that feels deliberate rather than scuffed leather.
It sits in the sweet spot between yellow and honeyed earth, so I use it when you want warmth with a muted gold edge instead of orange-brown weight. Great for hospitality and retail UI where you're showing brand moments: hero panels for booking funnels, ingredient or batch callouts in food and beverage sites, and editorial sidebars next to warm product photography. It also works as a confident divider or chip background in dashboards and ordering flows, where the one you reach for needs to feel branded without stealing focus.
Quirk: because it's less saturated than Caramelised Pecan, it can feel a touch "sun-bleached" on very warm neutrals. Pair it with deeper browns or cooler text so it stays grounded, not washed out.
