Tabasco
#a02712
Smoky, saturated chili red for high-heat accents
About Tabasco
Tabasco reads like that orange-red sauce stain on a countertop, not quite tomato and not quite brick. It's warmer and more ember-like than Burnt Red's deeper, more confrontational red-orange, and cleaner in its orange lean than Sugo Della Nonna's richer cooked sauce depth. Compared with Rustic Rouge, it feels less rust-caked and more direct, with a brighter midtone that holds its identity instead of going lived-in and dusty.
For me, the one you reach for when UI needs heat without tipping into full "warning." I'm using Tabasco in onboarding and action confirmations, checkout error states, and ingredient callouts on food packaging where the red-orange has to stay readable over cream photography. It also works well in spirits and coffee labels when you want a bold accent that doesn't go maroon or chocolate-brown.
It can look a little louder next to cooler grays, so I usually ground it with warm neutrals or deep charcoal to keep it from feeling too straight and spicy.
