Toasted Paprika

Muted, smoky orange-red for grounded highlights
About Toasted Paprika
Toasted Paprika looks like a chili that's been gently roasted, not burned. The surface reads dry and toasty, with a more subdued orange than Picante and less rusty-clay weight than Barbarossa. Compared to Chocolate Chilli, it hangs onto more orange energy, so it doesn't slide fully into brown. It's warmer than you expect at first glance, then settles into a grounded spice tone.
In UI work, I use it when I want confident, human heat without the sharper "warning" feel. It shows up well in e-commerce components like promotion banners, product tags, and editorial callouts for food and spice brands. It also behaves nicely in moderation workflows where you need clarity without smoke or age. The one you reach for when Picante feels too orange-forward and Barbarossa feels a touch too earthy.
Pair it with cream, oatmeal, or dark charcoal so the roast stays legible. If you drop it beside very deep reds, it can read more orange than the layout expects, so give it a neutral buffer.
