Arrowwood

Golden, muted olive for balanced green UI
About Arrowwood
Arrowwood pulls its weight differently than the golds around it. It's darker and more muted than Amaretto Sour, which means it won't compete for attention the same way, it sits back, but it's definitely there. Where Camel Cardinal leans into warmth with real red underneath, Arrowwood stays cooler, more olive-tinged. It's the one I reach for when I need a warm brown that doesn't announce itself.
You'll see this work on editorial mastheads, sidebar navigation, and product dashboards where the color needs to feel authoritative without flash. It pairs cleanly with off-whites, charcoals, and cooler accent colors, the kind of pairing that actually lets other elements breathe. Unlike Backroom Ember's confident brass character, Arrowwood is more restrained, less assertive about its temperature. It's quieter by design.
The catch: scale matters here. Small, and it can read almost neutral. Large, and the olive undertone becomes the story. Test it at actual size before committing, especially if you're relying on it as a background. It rewards patience.
