Gothic Gold

Smoky gold for high-contrast headings
About Gothic Gold
I keep picturing Gothic Gold on a brass zipper pull under overcast light. It's gold, yes, but it comes out more brown-leaning than the sweeter yellows, and it doesn't carry the burnt-heat bite of Arrakis Spice or the dusty redness of Harvest at Dusk.
Compared to Barista's Favourite, it's less coffee-roasted and more ochre-burnished: the undertone reads golden-iron, with a steadier warmth and slightly tighter saturation. I reach for it when I need a warm base that feels grounded, like heritage brand UI surfaces, editorial page blocks behind product shots, or the fill behind primary CTAs in craft and fashion e-comm. It works especially well for card containers and button states where you want contrast without going into caramel-brown heaviness.
Pair it with cream or warm gray, but watch bright peachy creams. They can flatten it fast, and then it stops holding its shape against lighter type.
