Fallen Canopy
#b85824
Lean russet orange with drier depth
About Fallen Canopy
I think of Fallen Canopy as the moment a bright rust leaf goes quiet on the forest floor. It's noticeably lighter than Bloodhound, with none of that burnt, low-saturation pull. And it doesn't have Boho Copper's metal-leaning, slightly cooler sheen. Autumnal is closer, but Fallen Canopy sits a touch more muted and browner, like weathered lacquer instead of leathery orange.
For heritage food packaging, it works on panels where you want warmth that feels earned, not polished. In UI, I use it for product detail pages, especially for card containers, pill labels, and quiet CTAs that need clarity without shouting. It also reads well in editorial sidebars and section dividers next to cream stocks and soft taupe.
One quirk: it can flatten against cool grays faster than Autumnal does, so keep contrast moving with warmer neutrals or let it breathe alone on deep charcoal. Pair it next to brighter coppers and it recedes, which is exactly what you want for hierarchy.
