Monument Valley
#ad5c34
Dusty clay orange-brown, softer than autumnal russet tones
About Monument Valley
You see Monument Valley as a sunbaked canyon wall: orange still present, but it's been dusted with a soft, earthy veil. It's more lift in the lightness than the darker browns in this corner of Yellow, and less "leafy rust" than Fallen Canopy. Compared to Autumnal, it feels cleaner and more saturated, not weathered-leather quiet. And next to Garfield's smoky caramel-gray lean, this one stays more consistently orange and less muted.
I reach for Monument Valley in packaging for artisanal spirits, coffee brands, and bakery labels where you want warmth that reads fresh, not antique. In UI it's great for product cards, featured badges, and pill-shaped CTAs inside commerce and media sites, especially when you need buttons and section headers that pop without going into hard orange territory. It also works well for editorial layout accents over warm paper stocks, giving you the one you reach for when you want clarity with a natural, lived-in mood.
Pair it with cream, sand, and warm taupe; cool grays will pull the color toward brown and blur the edge.
