Sienna
#a9561e
Warm sienna brown with drier, grounded orange
About Sienna
I keep Sienna in the same mental drawer as heritage labels, but it doesn't feel as amber-soft as Brandy Bear or as smoky-clay as Garfield. This one is steadier: a brown-leaning orange with a tighter, more earthy undertone, and a slightly lower shine that reads "printed" instead of "spun." It lands warmer than Autumnal, yet it won't tip into bright orange swagger.
On UI, I reach for Sienna when I want button states and card containers that look handled, not glossy. It's great for editorial sidebars in food and beverage brands, bakery and spice packaging, and ecom product detail pages where the section headers need warmth that holds its shape. Pair it with cream, oat, and warm gray for that lived-in look, and let it sit next to off-white photos.
If you drop it beside cooler grays or crisp blues, the color flattens fast and looks a little tired. It also works best with medium contrast, not high-spotlight highlights.
