Mars
#ad6242
Deeper, earthier rust-orange for grounded midtone contrast
About Mars
Mars reads like terracotta clay that's been sun-faded a touch. It's not as red-anchored as Bruschetta, and it doesn't soften into the cocoa-honey mood of Caramel Dream. Compared to Hot Cacao, it keeps more orange lift, so the warmth feels like earth you can see, not roast-depth you have to imagine.
I reach for Mars when I need an orange that has presence without shouting, especially in UI where decisions matter. It works well for dashboards and finance apps accents: secondary CTAs, focus states, and alert highlights that still look controlled on light cream or warm grays. In ecommerce product pages and editorial lower-thirds, it lands as the one you reach for when Bruschetta feels too committed and Hot Cacao turns too brown.
Quirk: on very cool grays, Mars can pick up a drier, more muted character. Pair it with oat, cream, or walnut to keep the undertone reading earthy instead of dusty.
