Packing Paper
#ba9b5d
Dusty tan-gold for softer green panel warmth
About Packing Paper
Packing Paper looks like the roll of kraft sitting under warm studio lights, except this one leans greener and stays a touch cleaner. It's not the golden-brown middle where Amaretto Sour lives, and it doesn't have Lion's sun-warmed leather richness. It also avoids Camel's softer, more neutral linen feel. Packing Paper reads lighter and more muted overall, with a subtle green undertone that keeps it from turning too toast-colored.
I use it when the design needs "material" without going dark or loud: editorial product headers, packaging panels, and UI surfaces like pricing cards or settings sections in retail and logistics. It's less saturated than Lion and Amaretto Sour, so it won't steal attention from photography or dense type, but it still gives a deliberate, tactile backdrop. It's the one that feels like paper, not paint, especially in layouts that already include cream, charcoal, or sage.
Quick caution: if you pair it with strong orange accents, it can start to look beige by comparison, so keep neighboring warms controlled and let the green undertone do the work.
