Earthy midtone olive-gold for grounded green layouts
About Kathmandu
Kathmandu reads like a muted leaf shadow cast across weathered stone. It's lighter and less olive-heavy than Gremlin, so it doesn't feel gritty or dusty. And compared to Formosan Green, it gives up some of that gold ribbon look, landing more neutral-green with a dry, papery calm.
I use it when the UI needs a credible "field" tone without stepping into brass warmth like Backroom Ember, or drifting beige like Packing Paper when the rest of the layout is too toasty. It shows up well in plant-care and horticulture dashboards, logistics and inventory systems, and retail packaging subpanels where you want labels, chips, and spec tables to stay readable beside creams and warm greys. the one I reach for when the green should feel composed rather than directional.
Quirk: Kathmandu can look a bit flat next to very saturated foliage greens. If you pair it with lively accents, give it darker type or a slightly deeper border so it keeps its shape.
