Rampart
#bcb7b1
Medium warm gray-brown for grounded, neutral balance
About Rampart
Rampart reminds me of a stucco wall that's been under soft overcast all morning. It's light, but not airy, with a muted gray that feels more grounded than Moonbeam's gentler chalkiness, and less lived-in than Couch Potato's brown lean.
Compared to Mercurial, Rampart holds a slightly warmer neutrality, so it doesn't read as "polished air." I like it as the one you reach for when the UI needs calm surfaces that still look steady in product photos, not beige and not sterile. It shows up in dashboards and finance apps, internal tooling, and editorial reading apps where the background has to keep text crisp without making the page feel too cool. Use it behind cards, sidebars, and form shells when you want secondary panels to stay quiet even when the content gets busy.
Quick note: Rampart takes warm accents better than Moonbeam, but if you push saturation too far, it can start to look slightly muddy next to cleaner grays.
