Fire Ant
#be6400
Smoky burnt-coral orange-brown highlight, warmer than bronze
About Fire Ant
Fire Ant reads like a fresh smear of high-heat orange in the real world, not a dusty brown. It's noticeably more saturated and more sun-baked than the turmeric-toned Indocile Tiger, and it carries a harder, brighter warmth than Dwarven Bronze's muted bronze-leaning haze. Compared to Brown Alpaca, it feels less earthy and less dry, with a lighter, punchier yellow undertone that pushes it toward energetic signal rather than quiet ground.
I reach for it when packaging needs an attention grab that still feels practical: food and condiment labels, coffee sleeves, spice boxes, and sale stickers. In UI it's great for badges, alerts, and action buttons where you want quick recognition without turning fully orange-red. It also holds up in product cards and landing page headers on matte stocks, especially when the rest of the palette is cream or warm gray.
Quirk: keep it away from close-to-red oranges or it can blur into that same lane; pair it with deep browns or cool gray text blocks to keep the contrast clean.
