Light Brown

Light, sandy yellow-brown anchor with dry warmth
About Light Brown
Light Brown is the color of a paper bag right after it's been unfolded, not the brighter pantry yellows. It's lighter and less fiery than Ginger and Fire Ant, with a more subdued saturation that reads as soft brown warmth instead of spice heat. Compared to Brown Alpaca, it has a warmer, yellow-leaning lift, so it doesn't look strictly earthy or muted.
I use it when the interface needs warmth that feels practical, not like a signal. Think data-dense panels with cream typography, category headers in commerce and hospitality sites, and product tiles where you want the card to feel sun-baked but still tidy. It also works well in print for menu covers, bakery labels, and editorial section rules on lightly textured stock. the one you reach for when you want "brown" that stays friendly and readable.
Quirk: because it's lighter than the amber oranges nearby, it can look a touch flat next to very saturated alerts. Pair it with a deeper brown-gray or warm cream to keep the contrast anchored.
