Maine Coon Orange
#c2792b
Smoky orange-gold accent, brighter than caramel brown
About Maine Coon Orange
Maine Coon Orange feels like an orange peel that's had a little time in the sun: lighter than the browned cousins, but not washed out. It lands between ginger and mustard, yet it never turns brassy or seed-yellow the way those do. Compared with Ginger Beer, this one is more balanced and less syrupy, closer to a clean tangerine than an amber glow. And next to Cut the Mustard, it holds onto an orange-tilted undertone instead of staying distinctly sunlit yellow.
I use it when the UI needs friendly heat that still reads crisp: food and beverage packaging mockups, snack brand landing sections, and ecommerce category tabs where you want the CTA to feel inviting without going caramel-dark. It's also great for dashboards in hospitality or retail ops, especially for status pills, step indicators, and edit-state highlights. Think the one you reach for when you want warmth with sharper separation from creams than Caramel Coating gives.
If you pair it with bright peachy creams, keep an eye on contrast at small sizes. The shade can drift softer than you expect if the neutrals are too close in lightness.
