Muddy Mire

Muted clay-brown orange for grounded, moody layouts
About Muddy Mire
I keep thinking of muddy clay under late-afternoon light. Muddy Mire has that same earthy depth, but it stays clearly in the orange family, not the brown-grit direction you'd get from heavier earth tones. Compared to Café Crème, it's less clean and more worn in texture, and compared to Beauty and the Beach it has more weight and less "air."
It's a muted, warm, earthy orange that works when you want warmth to feel grounded, not creamy or airy. I reach for it in dashboard accents and packaging for skincare and home goods where the brand shouldn't look cheerful, just human and steady. Editorially, it holds up in section headers for lifestyle reporting, especially when you're using warm neutrals and want the orange to read like part of the layout, not a highlight.
Pair it with warm whites and soft taupes and let cool grays do the contrast work. If you put it next to Coca Mocha, the difference is obvious: Muddy Mire's undertone stays warmer and earthier instead of tipping toward mauve.
