Toffee-muted green for grounded, light UI accents
About Windsor Toffee
Windsor Toffee reads like a pressed paper tag that's spent time in warm light, not a dusty beige. It's greener in its undertone than Goldfrapp, so the yellow doesn't take over, and it feels less tan-forward than Baker's Dozen. Compared with Khaki, it's softer and more muted, so it doesn't look like ink on a filing label.
I use it when the background needs warm neutral calm without tipping into overt earthiness. It's great for green-family interfaces where you want secondary panels, section rails, and sidebars to stay readable but never shout. In practice, that's compliance portals, media archive viewers, and research dashboards for legal and finance teams, especially when newsroom imagery is in the same layout.
One quirk: because it leans slightly green, pair it with charcoal or deeper gray rules so the page stays consistent. Against very cool blues it can look a touch grayer, so preview before you commit.
