Salt Caramel
#d3934d
Duller, earthier amber-brown for grounded warmth
About Salt Caramel
Salt Caramel looks like the moment caramel cools and goes matte, not glossy. It's clearly yellow-first, but the brown tinge is fine and creamy, so it doesn't tip into Bengal's darker, light-eating tan or Cognac's richer leather warmth.
Compared to Golden Nugget, it's less sunlit and less "seed-bright." Instead it lands lighter and smoother, with a gentler, milk-toffee temperature that reads warmer than a cream, but less saturated than Cognac. I reach for it in spirits and food brands for label panels, UI card headers, and checkout highlights where you want "premium" without the orange pull. It also works well for hospitality room cards and product detail layouts when the photo needs warmth, not weight.
Quirk: on very pale backgrounds it can start to flatten, so I pair it with deep charcoal text or warm grays to keep the contrast crisp.
