About Crystal Palace

On my screen, Crystal Palace looks like a pale, warm green paper you'd run through an office printer and still trust. It's lighter than Court-Bouillon, but it doesn't go chalky or straw-like. Compared to , it stays unmistakably green, with a clearer leaf undertone and a less dusty, disappearing behavior.

It works great for editorial layouts, publishing platforms, and SaaS dashboards when you want soft structure without the beige fallback that Frappé tends to lean into. This shade reads calmer than Frappé's warmer push, yet it's less olive-quiet than . I usually use it as a section background, card surface, or subtle header wash where type needs breathing room but still feels grounded.

One quirk: because it's a touch more yellow-leaning than the cooler greens you might expect, it can flatten next to very cool grays. If your typography is crisp, pair it with charcoal or deep forest accents to keep edges confident.
