About Airy
Airy sits between white and gray without committing hard to either, which sounds wishy-washy until you actually use it. It's desaturated enough to feel neutral, but there's just enough lift in the value that it doesn't flatten the way truly washed-out grays do. Where Castle in the Sky reads intentional and Celestial Cathedral leans deliberately cool, this one feels like breathing room.
Reach for it in light mode UIs, expansive dashboards, and minimal interfaces where you need a surface that recedes without disappearing. Form backgrounds, secondary panels, light card layouts, anywhere the goal is openness rather than visual weight. It pairs cleanly with both warm and cool accents because it doesn't pick a temperature fight. The lack of strong undertone is actually the point here.
The trade-off: pair it with saturated grays and it can feel thin. It works better when you're building a palette that's already pale, or when it's sitting next to white and letting contrast do the talking.
