Coyote
#dc9b68
Dusty orange-beige warmth for grounded, earthy layouts
About Coyote
Coyote sits in that middle ground where yellow and brown shake hands, but it's warmer and more golden than the earthed-down restraint of Coffee Whip, and it's got actual saturation where Caramel Drizzle plays it safe. This one doesn't whisper, it's got enough presence to read as intentional, but it won't muscle out the content around it the way Atomic Tangerine does.
Use it in product interfaces, food delivery apps, and real estate platforms where you need warmth that feels approachable but not diluted. It works as a background for card-based layouts, anchors call-to-action buttons in hospitality and travel contexts, and pairs naturally with cream type or off-white. The balance between saturation and restraint means it reads consistent across different lighting conditions without the shift you'd get from something more orange.
Test it against your actual product photography before committing, on very warm backgrounds it can drift toward pure tan, but paired with cool grays or deep neutrals it opens up instead of receding. It's the one you reach for when Coffee Whip feels too muted and you're not ready to commit to Atomic Tangerine's intensity.
