About Gentle Frost
Gentle Frost sits where gray and beige stop arguing. It's warm enough to feel intentional but restrained enough that it won't compete with what you're laying on top of it. There's a softness here, but it's not trying to seduce you, it's just present.
This is the background for editorial layouts, light-mode reading interfaces, and publishing platforms where you need something that won't cool down warm photography or make dark type feel exhausted. It pairs beautifully with cream-colored text or sepia imagery without creating distance. Unlike Feta, there's warmth underneath; unlike Fish Ceviche, that warmth doesn't announce itself. It sits in between, which is exactly where a lot of real work happens.
The thing: it actually needs adjacent color to feel like a deliberate choice. Pair it with strong type or purposeful imagery and it lands. Leave it alone on a screen and it risks becoming invisible. That's not a flaw if you know how to use it.
