Velvet Scarf
#e3dfec
Muted violet-gray that cools and sharpens spacing
About Velvet Scarf
I keep spotting Velvet Scarf in mockups where the gray looks softer without turning into frosting. On my screen, it reads as a very light gray with a cool, lightly lavender-leaning undertone, but it doesn't feel lavender-forward the way Homoeopathic Lavender does. It's also less lilac-whisper than Homoeopathic Lilac, and it avoids that champagne warmth you get from Pink Champagne.
The practical win is how it holds background space while staying polite around type. It's my go-to for dashboards and finance apps that need airy panels behind tables, filters, and input chrome, especially when the UI sits over photographs. In media CMS layouts, it gives cards a calm surface that doesn't fight neutral icon sets. It also works in wellness or care portals when you want a soft gray field that still feels crisp.
Pair it with medium grays and slightly deeper text so the lavender hint stays "barely there," not like tinted paper.
