About Le Bon Dijon

Le Bon Dijon is what I notice when a mustard tag turns more deliberate and slightly softer at the same time. It's a sun-warmed yellow, but with a clearer green edge than , so it doesn't feel "pressed" or loud. Compared to , it's less dry and coin-bright, more mellow and bread-crust relaxed, like it's been given a gentle filter rather than baked harder.

I reach for it in dashboards and finance apps when I want warmth that still reads controlled, especially for alerts, KPI chips, and secondary highlights in analytics layouts. In consumer retail and logistics UIs, it makes status steps feel finished without sliding into the butteriness of . It also works well in editorial section markers where you want the label to pop, but you don't want that sharp mustard snap.

Pair it with deep olive, cocoa charcoal, or cream whites. If you put it next to very cool grays, the green undertone shows up faster than you'd expect, so sanity-check it on your real backgrounds.
